9 months til Christmas

The year is already flying by at my house! Barely had time to do tags in March, but it sure will be nice to have them done when December gets here...play along and let me see those tags you're coming up with :)

H2H challenge...Oh Baby

Sorry if I've used this one before, but it is one of my favorite cards for babies!

And a baby name frame I did for one of my coworkers:

And a footprint sheet. We print the baby's footprints onto paper, cut them out and add them to the sheet along with name, weight, etc. and the parents have a wonderful keepsake:

H2H challenge...Home Decor

I made this album in honor of my youngest daughter when she donated her hair to Locks of Love. She is currently growing her hair out in anticipation of doing it again! She is a very sweet and kind little soul. This is not a new slideshow, so you may have seen this already.

H2H x3...Use three stamps to create a scene

Well, I had to use my favorite little hedgehog set for this one, although I'd like to do it with a few other stamp sets in my spare time...oh, wait, I don't have any. Oh well, I love this little guy.

Black Magic Tutorial

Start by stamping a solid image on black (or other dark) cardstock with White Daisy Pigment Ink.
Stamp desired pattern onto cardstock.
Use heat tool to heat-set image.
Choose 3 colors of watercolor pencils from the same color family to color image. I chose greens and blues to go with Magnifique papers.
Begin with the lightest shade in the center of the image.
Continue with all the images that will be in that color family.
Use the next darker shade around the center color, overlapping in places. Press hard with the pencils.
Finally, use darkest shade around the edges of image, then finish the same steps with other colors.
If you have a white gel pen, that will work for the next step. Since I didn't, I improvised with a blending pen and White Daisy ink. It worked really well.
Add interesting dots around images, randomly or in a pattern you like.
Complete colored images with white dots.
Attach piece to card base and embellish as desired. Have fun trying Black Magic, and show me what you come up with!

H2H gift challenge

It's been a tough year financially due to the economy and health problems, so money is tight. Thanks to Creative University, I found a perfect solution...pinwheel, double-sided ornaments that will be sent out in our Christmas cards. A little labor of love and token of affection for family and friends who have been supportive through the trials.

Pinwheel technique from Sheila Bennett

This is one of my first attempts at this fun and beautiful techniques, thanks to Sheila Bennett's segment on Creative University online sponsored by Tresa Black

Pop Top Can Gift Tin

I found a tutorial for this on SCS, and just had to give it a try. I've been spending ridiculous amounts of time on the canned for aisle looking for cans with the right kind of lower rim to use my safety can opener...should have plenty in time for Christmas and be healthy from all those fruits and veggies LOL
